Album name: No.10
Singer: Edmong Leong
Language: Cantonese
Date of release: 2003

I must admit that I have never thought much of Edmond Leung, forever having dismissed him into the shadows of Andy Hui and William So. This album changes all that though.

It just goes to show that the right people and the right songs can breathe a bit of life back into a flailing career. The usual "dream team" helms this album (Chan Fai Yeung, Mark Lui, Lam Jik etc) with Edmond sharing credits as song composer on some of the numbers.

This is a good comeback considering his fair share of downs in the musical circle. No.10 carries with it a theme revolving around numbers - 0 to 9 feature in the song titles here. A nice little touch, I thought.

Nothing exceptional here though it is filled with easy listening tunes. At certain times it reminds of an Eason Chan album (not surprising, as Eason gets his fair share of dream team material too). One track worth mentioning is, of course, track 8 (Seven dwarves) which received lots of airplay and is very likely to become quite popular with the k-crowd. Other tracks I enjoyed here were track 2 (Love at first sight) and the upbeat track 5 entitled Beatles.

Final verdict: not bad. easy on the ear.
