Charter Fishing Rates
You
will find our prices to be very reasonable for the Duluth
Minnesota area.
You might be able
to find a
cheaper Boat, but you will not find a first class
charter boat operation like the
ADVANTAGE for less money.
No hidden or add-on costs, No sales tax, No fuel surcharge, and a First
mate is provided at no charge to you.
We are
not a head or party boat, there are no walk-ons, you will not be mixed with
another group, our rate
is for you and your party only.
If you wish to go on a weekend
my advice is to Book Now and secure your date while it is still available!
In 2005 all of our weekends for the entire season were
booked up before May had ended. We will start charter
fishing again on May 1st 2006.
Last minute
charter calls are welcome!

Captain Dick's comments on 1/2 day versus full day
charters.
If you
have never been charter fishing before or are mainly interested in
experiencing the Duluth harbor and Lake Superior from the water, then a 1/2 day trip is
recommended. If you
enjoyed your previous Charter trip or if you are serious fishermen you should
consider an all day charter. On a charter a fair amount of time is spent
running out to the hot spot (sometimes 10 to 15 miles) then setting up
lines, and later taking in lines and running back in. On a full day trip the
extra 3 1/2 hours is all fishing time.
Captain
Adam's comments on choice of charter service.
All of the operators of other charter services
that
I know are friendly and competent captains that
offer an excellent service, but I have noticed some other Captains are
making statements I find misleading. Constantly using phrases such as "with
us" or "on our boat" what they are really trying to say is but not on
other charter boats, this is a form of negative advertising. Claims such as only they drive out into the
lake far enough or that only they catch big fish, or that
only they allow you to handle your own rod and hook set, and that charter boats (other than
theirs of course) assign seating. What a bunch of
B.S.! All the charter captains I know drive to where they think the
fish are, whether its 10 blocks or 10 miles! All captains try to catch big
fish! All the charter captains I know want you to handle the rod by
yourself! And I have have never heard of anyone assigning seating in safe
water conditions. I think its sad to see
another captain trying to gain your business by using negative advertising. But the
reason you see negative campaign ads each November is that they work.
Whether you you choose us or another charter service we want your charter
fishing experience to be a positive one.
