Episode 181...

~ Ali ~

“This is the place,” I tell Jade as she turns the car into a car lot.
I got back from Brooklyn yesterday morning, just in time for this session. It’s weird being back home, living in the apartment on my own. But I guess I’ll get used to it.
“Yup, 1203 is right there,” I point out the studio which Teen Girl hired for our photo shoot and interview session with the four actors.
“Cool,” Jade grins and parks the car right out front.
We climb out and she locks the doors, wiping off a piece of dirt on the window.
“Brian’s got ya well trained,” I comment amusedly.
“He only washed it yesterday,” she defends. The black shiny SUV belongs to Brian but Jade often borrows it to go shopping and stuff cos it has way more room in the trunk than hers.
“He washed it? Like himself?”
“Uh huh,” she nods proudly and we head inside the building. “He gets real excited about washing the cars. It’s cute.”
“Yeah,” I giggle. “Hell, Nick just drives his through the automatic washer.”
“He’s just spoilt,” she teases and we walk into a large studio. It’s open plan which is kinda cool cos it means we’ll be able to see all four guys all the time. Not a bad thing, especially if it gets hot in here…
“Hey, should I go break the air conditioning?” I remind Jade of the last shoot we did with the actors and she giggles.
“I’m not sure that I could take it!”
“Good point,” I agree. “I still have dreams about Heath’s six pack.”
“I have a six pack?” comes a deep amused voice. I freeze and look at Jade who is trying hard not to laugh.
“Please tell me it’s not,” I mouth and she nods slowly before stepping past me.
“Hi Heath, good to see ya again. I’m Jade.”
“Hey Jade,” he responds and I turn around to see them grinning at each other. “And Ali,” he looks over Jade’s head to flash me a smile.
“I’m honoured you remember,” I grin. “How’re you doin’?”
“I’m just fine,” he chuckles lightly. “You two? You’re both lookin’ real good.”
“Thanks,” I try not to blush but judging by the look on Jade’s face I fail. “You too.”
“JADE GREENE!” comes a loud voice and Mark Wahlberg walks into the room. “I would recognise that ass anywhere!” he tells Jade who blushes and giggles.
“Hey Mark, you don’t change,” she tells him and he gives her a wink before turning to me.
“And Ali, the photographer, who also has a pretty memorable ass.”
“Thanks Mark,” I laugh. “You got a pretty memorable one yaself.”
“Why thanks,” he slaps his ass and Heath laughs. “Hey man,” he greets him and they do a weird handshake. “Long time, no… What ya up to?”
“Oh the usual stuff. Dating, acting, gettin’ paid, shoppin’, travelling, promoting…” Heath rolls his eyes and does a yawn, making us all laugh.

Josh Hartnett arrived pretty soon after Mark, now we’re just waiting for Matt Damon. Ali has busied herself with setting up her camera, hindered by Heath’s attempts to help out. I’m sat on the sofa with Josh, Mark and a mug of coffee. We’ve discussed the merits of Pearl Harbour and Mark’s just finished telling me about his split with his last girlfriend Jordana.
“So, how’s your lovelife goin’?” Mark asks, sitting back and sipping his coffee. “It was the Backstreet Boy last time I saw ya.”
“Ya dated a Backstreet Boy?” asks Josh and I nod. “Oh yeah, I remember now. He came to visit ya when we were all shooting that time.”
“Yeah, Brian. We’re still together. We actually got married a few months back,” I confess with a grin and they both stare at me.
“Whoa, married?!” Mark asks.
“Uh huh. In Vegas. It was amazing.”
“Wow, congratulations,” Josh grins and touches his mug against mine, drinking to me.
“Thanks,” I smile.
“So you’re not a Greene anymore?” Mark asks.
“Nup, I’m a Littrell,” I smile.
“Jade Littrell… Hm, that’s cool but I loved ya bein’ Jade Greene!” he laughs.
“Yeah, yeah,” I roll my eyes at him. “It was good for a laugh.”
“Hell yeah!”
“Excuse me, are you Jade or Ali?”
“I’m Jade,” I look around and see Matt Damon. “Hi Matt,” I stand up.
“Hi, I’m sorry I’m late. My car ran outta gas and then I got recognised at the garage. It was crazy. I ended up havin’ to do a peel and spin to get away.”
“Like a 007 peel and spin?” asks Mark and Matt nods. “Wow,” he says, impressed.
“Thanks,” Matt grins widely.
“ALI!” I yell over.
“WHAT?!” she doesn’t turn around.
“MATT’S HERE!”
“Yea, yea!” she waves her hand at me but Heath looks over.
“Oh hey dude, how ya goin’?” he walks over to shake Matt’s hand as Ali whirls around.
“Matt?!” she exclaims and he nods, looking a little scared.
“I’m real sorry I’m late…” he starts to apologise but she waves him off with a grin and shakes his hand.
“It’s cool, really.”
“Cool,” he grins at her and she runs her hand through her hair, blushing deep red. “So, should I get changed or will I do?”
“Oh you’ll do,” Ali tells him, looking him over slowly. “You’ll definitely do,” she meets his eyes and he actually blushes.
“Hey Al,” Heath interrupts their little blushing competition and we all look at him. He has his hands on his hips and is looking a little pissed at all the attention Matt is getting from Ali.
“Yeah?”
“You gonna do me first?”
“Oh sure,” she smiles and takes his arm to lead him over to the small stage. She looks back at me and rolls her eyes. I giggle and turn back to the other three guys.
“We might as well get started on the interview part,” I pull out my tape recorder as Matt pours himself a coffee and sits on the end of the couch. “It’s the usual teen questions,” I apologise with a wry grin and they chuckle.
“Lemme save ya some time,” suggests Mark. “Red, yes, no, maybe, always, 5, at least 8, ass, boobs, grab ‘em, pancakes, syrup, yes, yes and YES,” he finishes with a wide grin.
“Was that last part a description of your seduction technique?” I raise an eyebrow.
“You’ll have to try me and find out,” he responds with a wink.
“I think my husband might have a problem with that!” I giggle and he spreads his hands.
“See?! Ya shoulda waited for me!”
“Sorry,” I tell him and we both laugh.

“So, you still with the doofus Backstreet Boy?” Heath asks as I take pictures of him.
“That would be Nick and yes,” I giggle. “And don’t call him a doofus!” I tell him mock sternly.
“You do!”
“Yeah but I’m ALLOWED to. He’s MY doofus.”
“Ah, ok. Sorry,” he laughs. “But things are good?”
“Why?” I give him a look.
“Well, you guys were fighting a little when I last saw ya,” he shrugs. “I was just wondering.”
“We still fight,” I tell him. “But it’s never serious ya know?”
“Cool,” he grins.
“You dating right now?”
“Uh huh. Her name’s Morgan. She’s real cool.”
“How’d ya meet?”
“In a real weird way!” he laughs. “I was at the airport and she was in the perfume store ahead of me. These girls yelled my name from behind and I looked back and then I heard this scream. I looked back and I’d hit her with my cart and she’d fallen into a bargain bin!”
“No way?!” I exclaim, giggling.
“Yeah! She’d been bending down into it when I hit her. So I had to go pull her out and then I realised she was real cute and… It went from there,” he laughs.
“That IS funny!” I tell him. “I never heard of anyone meeting that way before!”
“Yeah. It’d be a cool story to tell our kids if we get that far.”
“Yeah, dad how’d you meet mom?” I ask. “Oh I pulled her out of a bargain bin,” I imitate Heath’s accent and he starts laughing.
“That was supposed to be ME?!”
“Uh huh!”
“I don’t THINK so!” he shakes his head and I laugh.
“Just keep tellin’ yaself that.”
