I have a wide variety of interests - read on to find out more about what I enjoy. And maybe get inspired! 

Bell ringing

This might seem like a very obscure hobby for someone to have but it is extremely enjoyable. It involves all the senses - sight, sound and hearing. It is also very skilful and you can go as far as you want to with it. It is amazing to think that due to a simple piece of engineering one person can control a massive bell hanging above them. Once you learn the basic techniques, you can progress to ringing in rounds and then on to call changes. And of course, ringing is thirsty work and ringers are a very sociable lot of people. As a ringer you are readily accepted to ring at other towers around the country.

Essex Association of Change Ringers - this is the local district association in which I ring. It has regular meetings and events.

The Arts
