Welcome to the world of The LUCYS. Consisting of lead singer Dave, drummer Rob, bassist Dos and Jet on guitar, the LUCYS are an all-American band. "It's rock and roll," says Rob. "We're not doing anything too fancy or weird. We're just playing good songs."

The Lucys began in April of 2001 and immediately started writing songs and reworking unfinished ideas from previous projects. "The whole process of starting a band is exciting. It's like courting a girl, it's romantic," says Dave.

The band debuted at the July 2001 East End Fest to an enthusiastic crowd which both surprised the guys and rejuvenated the band's spirits. The group will be recording a full-length CD soon. New songs like "Magical" and "Broken" steer the band in a slightly darker direction than previous efforts, but the group maintains they are not a "gloomy" band. "It's not depressing grunge music, but it's not exactly a party band either," says Dos "I don't know what it is yet."
