CLINTON EVERETT MARS
EVERETT CLINTON MARS was born March 23, 1899 in Warwick, Orange County, New York. At some point very early in his life, he became known as Clinton Everett Mars. Clinton spent much time at his grandparents, Stephen and Anna Mars, in Florida, NY. He attended the S.S. Seward Institute of Florida, NY and graduated on June 26, 1917. He was employed by the Florida National Bank of Orange County, New York and became bank president in the 1940's. Clinton Everett Mars was among a small group that started the process for the incorporation of the Village of Florida. He was a member of the Highland Engine and Hose Company, the Mountaineer Hunting Club, and the Warwick Masons.
Clinton Everett Mars married MILDRED AMELIA HANE on September 17, 1921 in Warwick, NY. Mildred was the daughter of CHARLES T. HANE and IDA M. HYATT of Warwick, New York. Mildred Amelia Hane was born June 14, 1898 in Warwick, NY. The couple had four children. Clinton Everett Mars died on December 13, 1978 in Schenectady, NY at Ellis Hospital. Mildred Amelia Hane Mars died on October 19, 1982 in Schenectady, NY at the Kingsway Arms Nursing Center. The couple were buried in the Family Plot at Warwick Cemetery.
