OBITUARY- BERTHA JANE BALLARD MARS
"Mrs. Stephen H. Mars. Mrs. Bertha J. Mars, widow of Stephen H.
Mars, of Washingtonville, died Thursday at the Sunset Haven Rest Home at Ridgebury,
NY. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 at the home of her
son Clinton E. Mars on Highview Ave, Florida, conducted by Rev Rudolph Meter.
Interment was in Warwick Cemetery. Mrs. Mars was born at Goshen on Jan 30,
1876, a daughter of William [John A.] Ballard and Mary E. Barrett. She is
survived by her son; a daughter Mrs. Helen A. Mars of Suffern, a sister Mrs
Frances W. Wester of Newburgh and three grandchildren."
