Engine Installation

Heres a couple of shots of the Nismo oil catch can. I got it off E-bay for a 49.99 plus some of the most out rageous shipping I've ever paid. Even with the shipping charges it was still way cheaper than almost all the others out there. I went to a local import performance shop and asked about the price of the GReedy oil catch can and got a quote of 125.00. The only differnce in the two cans is the logo on the side of it plus it was instock. I would rather have the Nismo unit anyway. As it turns out you can't see the logo anyway.

I have it mounted near the driver side head light due to space limitations. I would have rather have it mounted in a vertical postion. After getting the mount that it came with modified and everything installed plumbed I like how it turned out.

The advantage of this setup is that any oil that may be sucked out of the valve cover by the intake will be caught in the can instead of being drawn into the intercooler and the intake manifold. As the engine is doing it's thing combusting air and fuel oil does not mix well. It can and will cause detenation which ofcourse is bad for any engine and will quickly destroy a high powered turbo car.
