When viewed with the Binoculars M31 appears as an elongated patch of light. A nice view with the binoculars, as you get a nice full view of the Galaxy and the surrounding stars. It is very bright and easily found. Locate Mirach and then hop to 37 Mu Andromedae. From there just follow the line these stars make and you should run into the galaxy.
