Finally, at last
I can look back at my past,
All that went wrong,
Paying in time that took so long.
Leaving a lot of lost loves behind,
Living day to day not knowing
where I'll go or what I'll find.
Now I'm learning better ways,
So I can look forward to many
happy days.
Knowing things I should of straightened
out years ago,
To be more alert to stay away
from my foe,
To bury my troubles and try to behave,
To stand on my feet and always
be brave,
But most of all I learned to forgive,
That I may be at peace so I can live,
But without question drop all
your fears.
And take the hand of someone
who cares.
