Here are a few pictures from our trip to Moscow Feb. 28 - Mar. 4. Antony's best friend and co-worker, Sergey, is from Moscow. We have known Sergey since 1993 when we were all at University of Connecticut. Since then we have all moved to Las Vegas and Sergey and Antony both work together at Nevwest Securities. Sergey's cousin Dimitri has been to the states on several occasions and sometimes with his wife Tatiana, and so we have become friends with them. We were very excited to have the opportunity to go to their wedding in Moscow. We've never been to Russia before. I only wish it was a little warmer. Highlights of the trip included trying new food (Borsch was my favorite). We ate Georgian, Ukrainian, and traditional Russian cuisine, including caviar, and of course vodka! My favorite of our sight seeing experiences was shopping on Old Arbat Street which was like a "gas lamp" district with cobble stone and street musicians, etc. Included in the pictures is one of Sergey's dad. He enjoys showing off his old military uniform and he even wore it to the wedding reception! Antony and I got our picture taken with him because he just begins to pose once he has the uniform on.
