Cross Country
I started running cross country in eleventh grade after my track coach convinced me that it would keep me in excellent shape for my soccer season. So I tried it. And to my suprise, I didn't do that bad. I was second on the team for every race except regionals. I placed fifth in the district. I did pretty well. However, my senior season wasn't so hot. I suffered from an upper respitory infection that kept me off my feet for two weeks. I placed 14th in the district. My personal record was 17:52. I guess that wasn't to bad. At states, I barely broke twenty minutes. Good news. We won districts for the second year in a row.
Here I am at the start of my rookie season in cross country. I was unsure what I was getting myself into, but I thought I would give it a shot.
This is districts my senior year. I placed 14th with a time of 18:07. One second slower than my junior season.
Here is the 1997 Cross Country Team for Louisa County High School. Both the boys and girls teams won districts.
