The Trinity Delusion An exposé of the doctrine of the Trinity

Joel 2:27

You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am Yahweh your God and there is none else.

Proof the Trinity Error

God the Father is undeniably identified by the Scriptures as the One who said, "I am Yahweh your God and there is no one else.

The Evidence

The Spirit Outpouring is the Promise of the Father

Jesus and his apostle Peter inform us that the outpouring of the Spirit at Pentecost was "the promise of the Father."

And behold, I am sending forth the promise of my Father upon you but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on High. Luke 24:49

Gathering them together, he commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father promised, which you heard from me for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days from now. Acts 1:4-5

Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured forth this which you both see and hear. Acts 2:33

Peter Quoted Joel concerning the Father's Promise

At Pentecost, Peter stood up and announced that the prophesy of Joel had been fulfilled. Through the prophet Joel, God had promised to pour out His Spirit.

This is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel: "And it shall be in the last days," God says, "That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy..." Acts 2:16-17

These facts show us that the outpouring of the Spirit was promised by the Father through the prophet Joel. The facts also show us that Jesus would send/pour out the Holy Spirit promised by the Father in Joel chapter 2.

The Father Declared that He Alone is God

It is beyond doubt that the Scriptures identify the Father as the speaker in Joel 2. When we examine Joel's prophecy, we find that the Father had declared that He alone is God and nobody else.

Thus you will know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am Yahweh your God, and there is no one else, and My people will never be put to shame. It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh and your sons and daughters will prophesy... Joel 2:27-28

God the Father declared that He is the God of Israel and there is nobody else.

Conclusion

We are informed by Jesus and his apostle Peter, that the outpouring of the Spirit at Pentecost is the fulfillment of the promise of the Father. Peter also shows us where this promise was made by the Father. Peter illustrates how the Father had made this promise through the prophet Joel to pour out His Spirit. Hence, there is no doubt the Father was speaking at Joel chapter 2 where the He, the Father, says that He is the God of Israel and nobody else.

Do you believe what God said about Himself? Do you believe your God?
