This lot was marked as from the MR-1A refueling ship. While this is possible, there is no documentation to indicated that the ship was involved in MR-1A. The cover sold for an amazing $78!

Again there is no evidence that this ship was involved in MA-6. It sold for a much more modest $16.50.

This cover was described as being the Weather ship for MA-2. It was no such thing as is clearly seen in the cachet. It sold for the more reasonable price of $10.50. Maybe bidders were beginning to do a little research on these covers.

Another incorrectly labelled cover sold for $10.10

And finally this mislabelled cover sold for a modest $7.50.

And still the Flood of Covers from Ships Probably Not Involved in Missions Continues on eBay

The above four covers were purported to be from various Project Mercury missions. There is no evidence to support the claims and the three with labels are almost certainly bogus (the labels that is). Luckily, they only sold for small amounts.
