Notes:
1) Rocket was launched from Wallops Island.
2) 35 minutes before the scheduled launch the escape rocket fired prematurely. Subsequently the parachutes did
not function correctly and the capsule and escape tower slam into the water about one mile offshore, with the capsule
breaking up and sinking. The USS Salvager was sent to recover the pieces.
