Notes:
1) The rocket was launched from Wallops Island.
2) A number of failures led to the booster rocket tumbling end over end, very high dynamic pressure at apogee and the main and reserve parachutes deploying prematurely. On splashdown both parachutes slowly settle down over the capsule preventing a MAG-26 helo recovery. The spacecraft was recovered by the USS Recovery after one hour and nine minutes. The escape tower was lost.
3) The flight was initially described as Little Joe 6 by the Wallops Island postmaster and covers from there are marked as such. It was later changed to Little Joe 5A by NASA.
4) Cover from Steve Durst's CD Book
