Nightmares

When will these nightmares ever
stop, when will they ever end?
When she closes her eyes and fall
asleep, will the nightmares start
all over again?
 
Once again you are deceiving the
innocent child that lies inside her, indeed.
Once again you are stripping her
down and robbing her of her sleep.
 
When will it ever be enough for  
you to just leave her alone?
Is it not enough that you are  
stripping her to her bones?
 
No, this is not enough for you,
you have to do a lot more.
You have to continue haunting and
taunting her, leaving her frightened
to her core.
 
When will you ever see, when will  
you ever understand?
All she ever wanted was just your love
and respect and to reach for your
hand.
