Little Vin and Ezra ATF AU

The idea I had went something like this:

 

Instead of both Sarah and Adam being killed in the explosion, Sarah survived.  After a couple of years of therapy or whatever, she wants more children, but because of her injuries, she and Chris are told they can never have any more children of their own.  They decide to adopt.

 

Meanwhile, Vin and Ezra are brothers.  Vin no older than 7 and Ezra younger by 3 or 4 years.  When their mother dies, Vin was also sick, Ezra was not.  An unscrupulous person in Child Services contracted with Maude Standish to provide her with a child to be used in her cons and forged documents to make it look like the younger brother had died also.  Vin however remembers that Ezra was healthy, and wants to find his brother and won’t believe he’s dead.  He keeps running away trying to find him.

 

Some years later, (Vin has to be at least 12) Chris and Sarah end up being Vin’s newest foster home.  Both fall in love with the boy immediately, but Vin still running away to try to find Ezra.  After getting him back again, Chris convinces him to tell them why he was running away.  Vin explains.  Chris promises to investigate, if Vin will let him handle it.  Vin provisionally agrees.  Chris finds the person that sold out Ezra, but she/he long since lost track of the woman that had the boy.

 

6-10 months later, ATF Team 7 finds Ezra during a raid.  Ezra has little memory of his life before Maude, but does remember Vin and his mother picture.  Chris and Sarah take him in and………….go from there!
