Bryan McCabe will add toughness and skill to the Atlanta Thrasher blueline. McCabe came over from the Pittsburgh Penguins in a deal that sent Karel Rachunek, Kiel McLeod and a 3rd round pick to Pittsburgh. This rugged defenseman is the inventor of the double-cheek hit as well as master of the straight-arm. Bryan McCabe plays a intense game where he loves to hit opponents at high speeds and can drop the gloves to defend a team mate. McCabe can also contribute offensively. McCabe has a bullet shot from the point and can score 15 goals per season. Hes a great addition to the power play. He is also a very good passer, and can set up forwards for a goal. He is a very good all around defenseman. He is still developing and he has to work on his lack of discipline.
