Dave Manson was a model defensive defender in his prime. Although he is not as good as he used to be he still can help the younger players and teach them how to play solid defensively. He can teach the famous straight arm to the young Atlanta Thrasher defenders. In his prime he also contributed a lot offensively once scoring 18 goals in a season. He was signed by the Atlanta Thrashers in the second offseason to provide a defensive force on the blueline and toughness as well as help the young players develop. He was also brought in for experience and leadership. Dave Manson has now retired and will mostly have a job inside the Atlanta Thrashers organization. Dave will surely be rewarded for his long career in the great game of hockey.
