Jody Shelley signed as a free agent with the Atlanta Thrashers before the 2004 CTCHL season to replace former heavyweights Bob Probert and Stu Grimson. Shelley is one of the upcoming NHL heavyweights who have to replace the Grimsons, the Rays, and Proberts of hockey. Shelley has already established himself though. One of the toughest and strongest players in the NHL. Shelley will suit up on the 4th line with Tie Domi to have a real scary fourth line that no one will want to mess with. He will be there to protect the Atlanta star players. He adds toughness to the CTCHL's strongest and toughest teams. Withint two years of playing in the pros, the NHL, he lead the league in PIM with 249. There is no way anyone will mess with the Thrashers.
