Drafted seventh overall in the 1999 NHL entry draft, Beech was considered as one of the better prospects in the league. He has shown great potential but time is running out for Kris. Has spent a lot of time on the farm teams Orlando Solar Bear/Chicago Wolves where has really improved. He is most likely going to be a centre on the big team very soon and maybe even a top two centreman in the league when he fulfills his potential. He came over to the Atlanta Thrashers in a big deal for the 1st round pick which sent Shane Doan, and top prospects like Beech, Johan Holmqvist, and Ramzi Abid Atlanta's way. Kris Beech's future with the Atlanta Thrashers looks very bright as his potential is sky high. The only thing he has to worry about is time as it is running out.
