Krzysztof Oliwa was always a favourite of the Atlanta general manager Brian Blake having the same background as him both being from Poland. very cheap contract meaning he is fairly cheap on the Atlanta Thrashers roster. He was certainly brought in to Atlanta to add toughness, strength and hitting to this already tough team.
