The Atlanta Thrashers management traded for Mariusz Czerkawski as Czerkawski is a good goal scorer in the CTCHL. He is also of the same background as general manager Brian Blake. Blake is known to do trade for players that he likes. Mariusz Czerkawski has completed the Polish connection of himself and Krzysztof Oliwa. He started the season off very well, playing with Mario Lemieux, registering 18 points in 23 games before coming over to the Atlanta Thrashers. Mariusz Czerkawski adds more arsenal to the team's right wing position which is already filled with players like Petr Sykora and Radek Dvorak. That is three players on the right side that can score atealdt 20 goals. Now that is a solid set of right wingers. Mariusz has to play extra hard as he will try to make the top line in Atlanta, trying to beat out both Sykora and Dvorak to do it.
