Martin Rucinsky

Height: 6-1
Weight: 205 lbs
Position: Left Wing
Born: March 11, 1971, Most, Czechoslovakia
Drafted: Selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1st round (20th overall) of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft.

Martin Rucinsky was signed as an unrestricted free agent right before the 2004 season. He will add to the growing number of Czech players on the team with Petr Sykora, Roman Hamrlik and Radek Dvorak. He will definately play on the third line as superstar left wingers Dany Heatley and Simon Gagne are ahead of him on the depth chart. Although not known for physical play, Rucinsky has a scoring touch adding a scoring presence on the third line. He will most likely play with fellow countryman Radek Dvorak on the 3rd line. The centre on that line will most likely be the tall hulking Nikolai Antropov. Rucinsky is always a threat to score 20 goals and add 20 or 30 assists. He has been consistent throughout his career and he is also responsible in his own zone.
