Petr Sykora was acquired 2 days before the trade deadline of the second season of the CTCHL. He came from the New Jersey Devils along with a 5th round pick for power forward Shane Doan. Petr Sykora has more skill than Shane Doan but Doan has a physical presence to him. Sykora is one of a few players on the Thrashers who has a Stanley Cup ring when he won it a few years back with the New Jersey Devils in the old league the NHL. Petr Sykora will most likely play on the first line. While Doan was red hot the season of hte trade ,being in the all star game, this move gives us a more talented player and a much better point producer. Sykora will most likely play with Marleau and one of Gagne or Heatley, meaning he can play on one of the most dangerous lines in the league.
