Immediately when Tie Domi joined the Atlanta Thrashers organization, he was named a captain. They stripped the "C" from the best player on the team, Simon Gagne. They thought that there was too much weight on the shoulders of Gagne and Gagne was relieved to give Domi captaincy. Tie Domi is a great team player. He has great leadership, is experienced and has great heart. He also isn't afraid to drop the gloves with anyone being one of the best fighters and biggest goons in the CTCHL. A very solid checker he gives a 110% every game he plays. He loves getting under his opponents skin. He also sticks up for his teammates. The captaincy has switched again though and now Steve Staios is the captain but Domi is still an alternate. Tie Domi really gets involved with the community. He goes down to charities signs autographs cheers people up and donates a lot of money.
