Jason Said...........

• There are two Pittsburgh columnists who have said things about me over the past two weeks about me not talking about my ankle. ... I'll guarantee they couldn't pick up a ball and throw it five feet.
• ``We're moving into a new ballpark and I believe we're going to bring a world championship back to Pittsburgh.''
• ``We just got our butts kicked,'' Pirates catcher Jason Kendall said. ``That's the bottom line. It is frustrating, but that's the beauty about baseball. There's always tomorrow. We definitely need to turn things around.''
• "I thought I was safe," Kendall said. "Even if I was safe, I should not have done what I did there. I kind of lost it. He's out there busting his butt just like I'm out there busting my butt. It happened, it's over with. I just kind of lost it. I lost my cool. It was the wrong thing to do."
• ``I'll still say it, I'm not a power hitter,'' Kendall said. ``I don't know how some guys do it.''
• ``I don't want to talk about it, but it's what I had to do to get the pain out of there,'' Kendall said. ``I tried every kind of brace, I tried pain pills. It's something I had to do.''
• ``I've been struggling, and I've been letting the team down,'' said Kendall
• ``It's more of a catching thing than a hitting thing,'' Kendall said of the injury. ``It hasn't been a factor (in his hitting). I just haven't hit well.''
• ``The most disappointing thing is how many close games we've lost,'' Kendall said. ``We've had probably only five games or so where we've fallen behind by five or six runs.''
