Brigstock Boxing Day Tug of War
Boxing Day 2003 and the Second Annual Village Tug-of-War was held over Harpers Brook at the bottom of the Meadow. The two teams taking part represented the Brigstock Cricket Team and the Brigstock Football Team for the second year running.
Our thanks go to Harry Ainsworth (of CAS) who organised this event and also provided a very generous £800.00 prize for the victors.
After last year's epic inaugural contest both teams were taking this years contest seriously, so a 3-0 result to the Brigstock Cricket Team was perhaps a suprise to some spectators. As last year, the contest was a tight affair and the Football Team were worthy adversaries.
