3 games Man of the Match - This was a brilliant team performance, every man on the field gave there all, for the sheer excitement he created we go for Ryan Baldacchino.

3 games comment - This was a thoroughly deserved win, we still have some way to go to function fluently as a team but  we made up for that with sheer hard work, we used the wings so well pulling Southend apart.  Lee Maddison and Baldacchino linked well together  and time and again we broke down the left.  When Lee took a nasty knock  and was subbed  with no obvious replacement we could have fallen apart but everyone battled through, this can only give us confidence for the games ahead. It's very disappointing to pick up two nasty injuries, Maddison requiring stitches for a head wound and Molloy  breaking his toe, both players will be missed.

Lincoln city 0 - 1 Carlisle United (Trevor Molloy 65 mins pen). League position 7th. Att: 3034.

Team: Keen  - 9, Shelley -  7, Andrews - 7, Whitehead - 9, Maddison - 8, Baldacchino - 6 (McDonagh - 7 ), Galloway - 6 (Burns - 7), Murphy - 7 (Wake -7), McGill - 6. Foran - 5, Molloy - 7.  Subs not used: Jack, Birch.

3 games Man of the Match. A hard match to score, Foran  was only on the pitch 9 minutes before seeing the red card, so his score has to reflect that. Mick Galloway struggled  after picking up a nasty knock on his knee  until he was taken off, Baldacchino also  had to  be taken off with an injury early in the second half.  Two players rated  a rarely given 9, Keen  coped with everything thrown at him for the second game running but for his calm ruthless efficiency we go for Stu Whitehead.

3 games comment - So much to be proud about in this performance, when  our backs are against the wall we just don't give up....... 'we are warriors'.  It seemed that the referee wanted to be the star man today, whilst we have got to keep our discipline there is little  anyone can do when faced with such an inept performance by the man in the middle. With Galloway and Baldacchino also picking up injuries, this could prove an expensive win but with so much enthusiasm and hard work shown by our players at the moment, it  seems that we can overcome most obstacles in our path.
