Midfielder
Australian Chay arrived at Brunton Park on the 1st of September 2001 on a short term contract. He played 5 games scoring twice, although he seemed to struggle for pace and fitness at times, he was a useful addition in the box. His first goal, at home against York on the 18th of September came when a Richie Foran shot was parried by the keeper and he slotted in the rebound, for an important 2-1 win. The second came away at Hartlepool on the 29th of September, where again he was in the right place to bury a Richie Foran ball that rebounded off a defender unfortunately his goal not being enough to save us from a humiliating 3-1 defeat.
Chay was released when his month long contract expired.
