Danny was born on the 21st of November 1978 in Bishop Auckland. He signed as a trainee for Walsall on the 1st of August 1997, then moved on a free to Barnet on the first of July 1999. At Barnet he has made 25 starts with a further 6 sub appearances but is struggling to gain the number one spot there thanks to the excellent form shown by their regular keeper Lee Harrison. Danny signed on a months loan for United on the 23rd of August as cover for Peter Keen. He played in the Worthington Cup game against Rotherham on the 10th of September and the league game away at Scunthorpe on the 17th of September while Keen was suffering from a groin strain as well as taking part in the friendly games against Celtic and Newcastle.
