JOHN  SUTTON

John was born in Norwich on the 26th of December 1983. He comes from a notable football family, his brother Chris is currently playing for Celtic after spells at Norwich , Blackburn and Spurs.  His dad Mike Sutton will be remembered by older Cumbrian's who saw him play 53 games for Carlisle in the old second division, scoring once. A popular player who's career ended with a knee injury in November 1971.

John signed as a trainee for Tottenham Hotspurs on the 1st of August 2002 coming through the U17 and U19 squad to play in the reserves. He signed on a months  loan at Brunton Park on the 5th of October 2002, extended by a further month that saw him play his last game for Carlisle at home to Lincoln in the FA Cup. John scored once in his ten games for United, in the 2-1 loss away at Cambridge on the 29th of October. At the end of his loan spell he moved on to Swindon signing on a free for the Robins on the 20th of December 2002.
