Mark was born in Newtonards on the 15th of March 1983. After being released by Coventry Mark had a trial at Linfield in Northern Ireland but chose to sign for United on the 5th of October 2002 on a month to month deal. A hard working winger he proved a popular addition to the squad. He scored one goal in the home draw against Swansea on the 26th of October. Although offered another months contract Mark chose to try for a longer contract elsewhere.
