PAUL BAGSHAW
In the week before the match, how did you feel? Everyone in the team was quite relaxed which was down to Nigel Pearson.
On the morning of the match, did you feel more nervous than usual? Obviously you realised it was a massive game so you did feel more nerves than usual.
Even before the game started the crowd was larger and more vocal than previous games. Did that effect you? Every footballer wants to play in front of big crowds so it had a positive effect on everyone.
You started the game on the bench, how did you feel watching the game? It was very frustrating watching from the bench. I think you feel the tension more because you feel helpless.
We had to rely on Peterborough getting a result at Scarborough. Did you hear that they had scored an early goal while you were on the pitchside? We didn't here any other results, we just concentrated on our own result.
When the Dobie goal was disallowed, did you feel it wouldn`t be our day? It looked a good goal so it did cross my mind we might lose.
At half time were you optimistic? Yes, we knew we could win, that was our only concern.
When Phillips scored for Plymouth, what were your feelings? That we were going to struggle to stay in the league.
You came on at around the 55 minute mark when we were a goal down, what were your thoughts as you came on the pitch, did you have any special instructions? I was told to go on and try and create chances for us.
Brightwell scored and we were in with a chance , did you feel than that the game had turned in our favour? No, I just thought we needed another goal.
At the end of normal time, Colin Carter could be heard on the tannoy, announcing the Scarborough final score and lifting the crowd to fever pitch. Did you hear the Scarborough score? I didn't hear the score, just the crowd reaction, so I knew that Scarborough hadn't won.
Did you know how close we were to time when Anthony went to take that last corner? No.
When Dobie's header went straight to the keeper, did you think, "game over"? No.
After Jimmy scored, the whole ground erupted, did you fear the match would be stopped? I knew the game wouldn't be stopped because the ref told us it was full time anyway.
What were your feelings when the final whistle went? You couldn't describe the feeling at the whistle, it was unbelievable. The response from all the fans and seeing how much it meant to them and to the local lads like Prokas, Dobie and Hopper, that just topped everything off.
