Just a few pics of a hot water outlet on the Ct. River in Hartford. We've been fishing it all winter. Lots of small fish but a few 20's each trip. A 6 hour session yields 12 to 20 fish. (3) 20+lbs, 3 teens, the rest 3+lbs. The swim is normally only accessable by boat but I found a fence down where the city was doing construction and stopped for the winter. It's a mile walk in so most are discouraged. We've fished it by boat for years but this year with the shore access it's been non-stop all winter. With the river thawed the bass and striper guys are starting to show up so the place will be crowded very soon. Cheers: Fran S Westfield Massachusetts

A 17 pound 5 ounce common caught off Carphead Ed's back deck on March 28, 2001. PB of the year.

Look to the left of the computer... Carphead Ed has to walk 3 feet to go carpin'!! Ofcourse he has my web site up on the computer screen!!

Now, this is a pic of Manayunk Jake 15 years ago. You will note, the boy does not know the proper way of holding a carp. He has since learned! I wonder what those plants are around him!!
