Tip of the Week

Newest at the top, oldest at the bottom.

If your horse rubs his tail, or you want your horse's tail to grow (or both), try this mixture (I love it!!): Mix 1/2 baby oil with 1/2 regular mouth wash (the yellow-colored mouth wash) and put the mixture in a spray bottle. You can use it daily or whatever you desire! The Listerine kills the bacteria that makes a horse rub his tail, and the baby oil helps the tail grow.

During the cold winter months it's important to warm your horse's bit before bridling him. One of the most efficient ways to a warm a horse bit is to run the bit under warm or mildly hot water (make sure it's not too hot now!) or use a blow dryer.
