A snipers mission is very demanding. Find the
target, get within shooting range, fire, hit the target, and slip away, all without
being detected. For this very reason, this sniper page exists. A good sniper
demands the absolute performance, because his life, the life of his comrades, and the
success of the mission are all on the line. While a sniper
weapon has to be good, a sniper should expect more. His weapon should be
outstanding. Outstanding from the rest of the crowd. A weapon that was made to
fit into sniper operations. While I stress that the most important factor one has to
consider when puchasing a weapon is its reliability, for a sniper, distance just about
rivals reliability. You need a weapon that will fire, and fire hard, and fire
long. You should probably look for a gun that shoot more than 35 ft. Distance
is very important.
Before purchasing a gun, find one that meets your requirements
for a sniper rifle. Your requirements should include:
1. Gun has a range of more that 35 ft.
2. Gun has top reliability
3. Gun has the ability to be easily camouflaged.
4. Gun has the right size to be easily carried.
5. Gun can be easily maneuvered while laying on the ground.
6. Gun has decent locations for a strap
7 Gun has decent locations for a scope
8. Gun has a formidable nozzle size
9. Gun is fairly simple to use
10. Gun has absolutaly nothing that it doesn't needs.
I put this special list up for sniper weapons because looking for
a good sniper weapon is a lot different than looking for a good regular weapon. The
priorities are different, and the field of use is different, too.
You should consider all these before making your choice.
You would not want the backfire for a sniper weapon, because it has that wasteful
backwards stream(not to mention the single tank reservior). You would not want the
CPS- 2700 because it is to big and awkward to use for lightning fast sniper
operations(plus, from what I have heard, has poor range)
Once you have found a gun that reasonably satisfies the above,
you may purchase it. When you go to purchase it, look for these things, right at
the gun in the store:
1.Does the box look dented up in any way? Is the gun
scratched?(evidence of poor handling)
2.How does the weapon's pump feel? (You should look for one
that is fairly to very easy to pump. This is important, as I have look at the same
model of gun in the same story, and one had a pump that was very tight and hard to use,
and one had a pump that was smooth and glided very easily)
3. How loud is the trigger? (between the same model,
you will find some have whisper quiet trigger actions, and other have a loud chik-ching
sound)
4. Does the gun look well put together? Is it solid? (you
may find some creak, and some hold together nicely)
5. Out of all these, which ones do I like the best? (you
should spend at least 15 min looking and comparing all the models of the gun of your
choice to find the best one in the store, and you wont be dissapointed when you find it!)
If you can find an old CPS-1000, 1500/1700, or CPS-2000/2500, buy
it, as these will make really good sniper weapons as well.
For a sniper weapon, you need one that delivers maximum
performance in a minimum amount of time. This is because you only get about a second
to shoot at your target. You don't want them to find you, so you shoot and scoot. If
a gun has a pressure chamber that is only good for about 2 seconds, thats ok!!! Your
mission is over very fast, whether you hit your target, or you miss!!! Your gun
needs to either have a good sting factor, like the XP-105, or Drenching power, like the
CPS-2500. You need a weapon that the enemy will remember when you hit them with it.
It's one thing to get hit with a tiny little stream like that of an XP-220 out of
nowhere, its another thing to not know where the 20x blast from the CPS-2500 right on your
chest came from. This might scare the enemy a little more, which could be an
advantage for you, like right before your team attacks. Try getting someone to shoot
you with your own blaster, so that you know what it feels like.
Think about your decision to purchase a sniper weapon. Make
it a good choice.
