LASW entered 3-3, ranked #6 in South and #13 in Calif. Harbor entered 1-5. Southwest jumped to a 13-4 lead early on the strength of its press. Harbor went to a 3-guard lineup after that and finished the 1st half on a run to get the lead. Harbor lengthened its lead to 73-58 with under 7 mins left when Southwest made a late run on the strength of White and Overton. Harbor led 84-82 with 3.8 secs left when Boyd was fouled - he hit his 1st FT and got the rebound when he missed the 2nd to seal the win.
