SG Joshua Blaylock had an outstanding game with 15 pts, 5 rebs and 6 asts, and SG Michaelynn Scott came off the bench to also score 15 pts as Antelope Valley routed Glendale, 70-39.
Glendale led, 7-4. early on, but then Blaylock sparked a 14-0 AVC run with three 3-pointers, and the Marauders were in control the rest of the way. AVC held a 38-20 lead at halftime and pushed the margin to 20 on a short Blaylock jumper in the opening seconds of the first half, and after that the game's outcome was never in doubt.
Ctr Vadal Faniel came off the bench for 12 pts on 5-for-5 from the floor, and PF Larry Slaughter had 7 pts and a team-high 7 rebs. AVC started a rather unconventional lineup and never did play SG Jason Johnson, but nonetheless shot 60% from the floor and held Glendale to just over 30%.
PG Nick Rhodes and PF Mike Johnson led Glendale with 8 pts each. SG Robert Henry had 7 pts and Ctr Sooren DerBoghosian had 6 pts and a game-high 8 rebs.
