In the 7 pm game, Victor Valley claimed an exciting 101-98 win over West Hills. SG Jamel Richardson came off the bench to score 31 pts and grab 10 rebs to lead the Rams. Fwd Daniel Robinson scored 22 pts and 7 rebs. And PG Joe Anderson handed out 8 asts.
But Anderson was also at the center of the skirmish that resulted in both teams being disqualified from the tournament. With Victor Valley holding a 4-point lead in the closing seconds, West Hills' Daniyal Faquir chased and eventually fouled Anderson hard, knocking him into the scorers' table. Anderson got to his feet and shoved Faquir. Then both benches emptied, and a lot of yelling and shoving ensued. This all happened with 23.8 secs left in the game.
When it was all sorted out, about 15 minutes later, both Faquir and Anderson were ejected. And strangely, both teams played the rest of the game with just 4 players on the court. It ended 101-98 in favor of Victor Valley. But after the game it was announced that both teams had been disqualified from the tourney and that the "other semifinal" was now the Championship game.
For West Hills, SG Anis Taylor led the way with 29 pts, 7 rebs and 5 asts. Faquir scored 15 from off the bench before getting tossed. SF Dajuan Clayton added 14. West Hills lost despite shooting 56% from the floor and getting assists on 28 of their 38 baskets.

With 23.8 secs left, Anderson (VVC) was trying to dribble out the clock when Faquir (WHC) chased him and fouled him - hard, and right into the scorers' table. Anderson got up and gave Faquir a shove, and soon both benches emptied and there was a lot of shoving and yelling. Eventually it was all calmed down, and after a lengthy deliberation it was decided that (1) Faquir would be assessed a flagrant foul and ejected, (2), Anderson would be assessed a technical foul and ejected, and (3) that no players from either bench were eligible to enter the game after leaving the bench to join the fray. So each team shot 2 FTs and the game continued as a 4-on-4 affair. VVC held on to win the game, but both teams were disqualified from the tourney for their roles in the incident. As far as I know, however, the game result counts in each team's won-lost record.
