In the third-place game, host Santa Rosa (10-3) topped Los Medanos (5-6). Ctr Paige Dumont had an outstanding game with 19 pts, 6 rebs and 8 asts to make the All-Tourney team. All 5 SRJC starters scored in double figures, with PG Steve Johnson adding 9 asts to his 10 pts. SG Dylan McCune had 15 pts, all on threes, while SF Dustin Ballard added 15 and 9 rebs. The Bear Cubs shot 54.5% from the field and made 11 threes on the night.
Los Medanos got strong games from PF Tyron Witherspoon (14 pts) and SG Derrick Edmunds (10 pts, 9 rebs). SF Sean Namedy had 13 pts and 7 rebs but shot just 3/16 on FGs. Ctr Rashaun Puyer was his usual active self in the middle, adding 9 pts, 8 rebs, 3 blocks and 2 steals. But the Mustangs shot just 35.1% from the floor.
