The third-place game was a thriller, with LA Harbor (8-7) getting past Big Bend of Washington, 100-95 in OT.
SG Joe Saavedra scored all 25 of his pts after halftime to lead the way, while SF Dontae Cottrell had 24 pts, 10 rebs and 5 asts. PG Beto Delgado, who had 11 pts and 13 asts, along with Cottrell, Saavedra, PF Justin Rhoane (12 pts, 7 rebs), Ctr Keith Richard (4 pts, 2 rebs) were on the floor for a 24-5 run that turned an 8-point deficit into an 11-point Harbor lead at 71-61 with 8 mins left.
Then Big Bend, mostly behind the scoring of SG Rockey Soliday, rallied to force OT. A putback bucket by Ctr Daniel McFaul with 25 secs left tied it at 88. Harbor's Cottrell missed a jumper at the horn, keeping it tied at 88 and forcing OT.
In OT, Cottrell, Rhoane and Saavedra each scored 4 pts to give Harbor the win. Big Bend trailed by just 3 entering the final seconds but SG Brian Kast's potential game-tying three bounced off the rim with 8 secs left. Harbor secured the rebound, and Saavedra knocked down 2 FTs with 6 secs left to secure the win.
Big Bend was led by Soliday, who finished with 33 pts including 8 threes. McFaul added 15 pts and 12 rebs, while PF Dan Stosich had 7 pts and a game-high 13 boards. PG Travis Ohrn had 15 pts and 11 asts.
