The 2006 Fullcourt Press Fall JUCO Showcase took place September 24th at Long Beach City College.
There were 8 teams in the event: two teams made up of players from local colleges (Long Beach City and Santa Ana), the club teams Compton Magic and San Diego Magic (the hosts), three teams made up of players from different colleges and a top-notch local high school travel team. Each team played two games.
Aside from the two club teams, each team was given the name of a local university (just for entertainment purposes – it’s more interesting than the old Team 1, Team 2, Team 3 etc. but each team has absolutely no connection to the named university).
There is of course the usual array of material: a game-by-game summary, box scores, player ratings and all-star selections.
Thanks to Etop Udo-Ema and Jeff Theiler at Compton Magic for putting together a great event, as always, and for getting me set up with rosters and all. Great work, guys!
