PG Ike Count scored 18 pts to lead #11 San Francisco (18-9, 8-2) to an 80-45 win over visiting Foothill (13-13, 5-5), giving CCSF at least a share of the Coast-North division crown and likely dealing a fatal blow to Foothill's playoff aspirations.
Count made 7 of 9 shots from the floor, including one streak of 4 on a row that helped the Rams blow the game open. A few minutes into the game, he made a short jumper to make it 18-6, and finished the run with a three to make it 24-8.
But this was a game of total domination by the entire CCSF team. Ctr Lex James grabbed 15 rebs, and the Rams managed an astounding 56-24 advantage in rebounds for the game. PF Harry Brown, whose FG+FT 3-point play gave CCSF a 3-0 lead in the game's first minute, had 13 pts and 9 boards. SG Alec Von Tellrop had 14 pts including 3 threes. And PG Eric Turner had 4 pts, 5 asts and no turnovers.
Brown helped CCSF extend a 19-point halftime lead with a pair of baskets early in the second half. From then on, it was just a matter of how big CCSF's final margin of victory would be. A jumper by Count allowed CCSF to double Foothill's score at 48-24, and a basket by PG Ishan Robinson pushed the lead to 30 at 54-24. Robinson soon made another basket that made it 61-24 with just over 10 minutes left. At that point, Foothill had made just 9 of 40 shots (22.5%), a devastating statistic, especially when combined with CCSF's rebounding margin.
Ctr Erion Moore led Foothill with 15 pts and 7 rebs. SF Jonathan Moe had 8 pts including 2 threes.
