In the 3rd place game, Victor Valley edged El Camino in a thriller. VVC started the game on a 21-3 run, and still led by 16 at halftime, but El Camino rallied to take an 81-79 lead with 2:20 to play. With 14.9 secs left and ECC ahead 83-82, VVC SG Jeff Henry was fouled and sent to the line. He made the first and missed the second, but PF Jaron Buchanon grabbed the rebound and was fouled. Buchanan made both FTs with 8.8 secs left. ECC's Anthony Brown tried a three at the buzzer, but it missed, allowing VVC to escape with the win.
For VVC, Ctr Aesh Dabbas led the way with 20 pts and 9 rebs. PG Joe Anderson had 13 pts and 9 asts. ECC was led by PG Brown, who had 26 pts, 10 asts and 6 steals.
