SG Alfonso James scored 14 pts and PF Reggie Brown added 13 to lead Orange Crush to the win. Orange Crush jumped out to a 14-0 lead at the start and a 28-12 lead at halftime, and they managed to hold off a late comeback bid by the Cagers to hold on.
The Cagers began the game in hideous fashion, falling behind and showing few signs of life in the early going. At one point, the Cagers were 1 for 9 from the floor with 10 turnovers. In the first half, they made just 3 of 12 shots and also had 12 turnovers.
