Caro Figure-8 2001
This race marked my first real Figure-8 with my own car. I spent alot of time on this car tryin to make it good. I even spent the winter rebuilding the upper half of a motor to make sure it ran right. Well all the work was basically for nothing. The day of the race we found out my motor had a rodknock in it. It ran great for a week and of course the day of the race it decides to get a rodknock. Typical luck for me. Well i raced anyway. I did fairly decent but the car jsut didnt have enough power. I couldnt get it to pinwheel right. So i ended up third in my heat. Fortunately i got to go into a consolation heat. My dad also ended up in the consy. He ended up winning the consy and i got third. I figured i wasnt going to win so i sorta bumped the main competition around in this race. He went on to get third in the feature. His car ran great.
