Race 12
Coca Cola 600
Lowes Motor Speedway
May 27, 2001

Tony Stewart walks through the pits in Indianapolis after finishing sixth on Sunday
in the Indy 500 (left) and less than an hour later is introduced to the crowd in Charlotte
before racing in the Coca Cola 600.  It looks like Tony is putting on a little weight, doesn't it?

Well it's about darn time my No. 1 pick did something!  Up until this race he was sitting back in 25th in the standings and making me consider trading him off to other teams for someone as crappy as Jeremy Mayfield.  Oh, wait, I have Jeremy Mayfield already.  Anyhoo, my team finished with a whopping 442 points and won our first week of the year.  Woo-hoo!

Mike made a move before the race, dropping John Andretti for Sharon's cast-off, Kurt Busch.  The move paid off big time as Andretti failed to qualify for the race and Busch finished 12th.  Mike remains in second behind Tim "I've Got a Horshoe Up My Hootie" Fontaine.  Behind those two are Sharon, John and your truly, in that order, and separated by 29 points.

On the other side of the standings, Sean and Billy dropped even further behind Al to remain firmly entrenched in last place, 1313 points behind Tim and 486 points behind Al.  But who's that I hear knocking on the basemaent door?  Why, it's Leeto, who dropped a yearly low of 130(!!) on the board this last race to pull within 38 points of the second-to-last place spot.  Look out, Al!  You've got competition for your free beer!
