What is more American than Cal Ripken?  Nothing!  God bless America!  Cal paraded around the track in a convertible with his family, then started the race by waving the green flag.  Then he flew back to Camden Yards and hit a homer against the Yankees!

Once the flag was dropped, the race was all Dale Jr.  He led the most laps and ended up winning for the second time this year.  The week's big winner was Sharon, who's total of 464 moved her from eighth to sixth, just behind Mike.  Speaking of Mike, he picked up Terry Labonte for the injured Steve Park.  My man Jeremy Mayfield took a wallop and was taken to the hospital.  I'm not sure what his condition is now.  I'm sure he'll be back next week, because from what I've seen, his head is not a very important part of his driving.
